Begin your Argentine journey in Buenos Aires, considered the Paris of South America for its traditional architecture and its Eurpean heritage. Passion ignites with a Tango dinner show in one of the city's fasionable night spots.
From there, travel to the picturesque and folkloric city of Salta, through the Los Colorados Mountains to the picturesque town of Cachi, passing the "Las Flechas" formations along the "Inca Trail" to the wine producing town of Cafayate (a town with its exquisite views and extensive vineyards).
The "Quilmes" pre-Inca ruins (the most important archeological site in the country) and Amaicha del Valle (the only organized indigenous community in Argentina) are stops en route to Tafi de la Valle, a traditional town wedged between the Calchaqui, Tafi and Nunorco Grande mountains. Overnight in an Argentina "estancia" while taking day excursions to the Los Mehires" with its 220 menhirs , dolmens and stone circles beloging to the ancient "Tafi" indigenous culture.
Travel through the verdant sub-tropical Tucuman jungle forest to view the Quebrada de los Sosa, an amazing natural gorge before continuing towards La Rioja and the breathtaking Talampaya National Park, an UNESCO site with its plunging sandstone canyons and caves displaying ancient zoomorphic engravings and geometric motifs.
Continue south for a visit to the mysterious and ancient Ischigualasto National Park, another UNESCO site with impressive scenery and peculiar rock formations sculpted by the constant action of the wind erosion over millions of years.
The last stop on the journey is Mendoza. a town located at the foot of the Andes Mountains and the heart of the Argentine wine country. Excursions include winery visits as well as the "Paso de los Incas" and the Aconcagua Park to view the highest peak in the Americas. The tour ends in Buenos Aires.
